About the Parents of Missing Children Committee

Many of you may already know Anthony Green and the tragedy that has befallen him.

In 1974, following the loss of his wife, Green and his newborn daughter would move to Hurricane from Rougeweb, Texas looking for a fresh start. In the following months Green would advertise a splash of color on our map; the opening of his restaurant, Fredbear's Family Diner. With his experience in robotics and his fun-loving attitude, he sought to create a place where fantasy and fun came to life. However, this dream would not last long.

In June of 1977, Green's daughter, along with the young son of one of his employees, would vanish within the walls of the establishment. Despite reporting the children as missing, circumstances led police to assume the children were in safe hands, and no search was conducted.

The doors of Fredbear's would close briefly, but with the help and support of his coworkers, Green would reopen the doors the following week - an action he now deeply regrets, as three more children would go missing in that short period of time.

With five children now reported missing, the Hurricane PD was forced to act, looking over the security tapes from the cameras within the building. This would lead to the arrest of a night time janitor, however he would be released after 30 days, as there was no physical evidence tying him to the crime. The janitor has since relocated and changed his legal name, making him difficult to track down.

Freddy's would remain open for six months following the Missing Children's Incident, but after a catastrophic animatronic springlock failure nearly claimed the life of yet another child, the doors to Fredbear's would shut down for good. Regarding this incident, Green has this to say;

"Those months after losing my baby and failing so many other families were the worst of my life. I neglected to take proper care of myself, my staff, and perhaps most agregiously of all, I neglected to properly care for the yellow springlock suits in the front area of the diner. Because of my actions, I nearly cost that family yet another one of their children. And for that, I can never apologize enough. I only hope that somehow, some way, I can make this right." - Anthony Green, January 1978

Fredbears was bought out and rebranded as Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. Green has acted as regional manager for a number of these establishments over the years, giving himself time to reflect on all that has happened, as well as observe the patterns that have persisted beyond Fredbear's.

He realized that the Hurricane Police Department's gross mishandling of this case was not an isolated incident - his own heartache had merely brought his attention to the larger issue at hand. So he began reaching out to other grieving individuals whom our county officials have failed, listening to their stories and finding most, if not all of them were eerily similar to his own. These grieving individuals banded together to support one another, thus forming the POMC.

All of our work is dedicated to the Five Missing Children of Fredbear's Family Diner. You are mourned every day.
